Start with the ER series, then confirm the nut style
When a buyer searches for ER collet nut dimensions, the first question is not only ER11, ER16, ER20, ER25, ER32, ER40 or ER50. The buyer also needs to confirm the nut style. ER-A, ER-UM, ER-M, ER-MS, mini, hex, bearing style and sealing nuts can have different outside diameters, heights, thread forms, wrench engagement and front-end shape. A loose description such as "ER32 nut" is often not enough for a safe quotation.
The easiest RFQ is a photo of the old nut, a photo of the holder nose, the ER series, the holder thread if known, and the wrench style.
