Confirm the outside and inside connection first
A sleeve is useful only when both sides match. Buyers should confirm the outside size that fits the machine or holder and the inside size that receives the tool. For Morse taper sleeves, both the outer MT and inner MT matter. For D-series sleeves, the outside diameter and bore size must be stated.
Photos are helpful, but a photo alone is not enough. Send the old sleeve marking, outside diameter, inside taper or bore, total length and machine model if available. This reduces wrong quotations and avoids receiving sleeves that look similar but do not fit.
Where tool holder sleeves are used

CNC lathe bushings need OD, ID and style confirmed
Many CNC turning sleeves are used to adapt boring bars, drills, reamers or shank tools into a larger turret or holder bore. The outside diameter must fit the holder, and the inside bore must match the tool shank. Some bushings are split, some have screws or slots, and some are plain reducing sleeves.
